Measur is a calorie tracker that keeps your data on your own device. This page explains what happens to it, and in particular to health data.
With your permission, Measur reads body weight, body fat percentage, steps and active energy burned from the health app on your phone (Health Connect on Android, Apple Health on iOS). It reads nothing else, and it never writes anything back.
These readings are used for one thing: to fill in the weigh-in log and the body-fat figure you would otherwise type in by hand, so the app can chart your progress and work out your calorie goal from your own measurements. Steps and active energy are only shown to you on the home screen, beside an offer to raise that day's calorie budget - nothing is added to your budget unless you tap it. Readings stay on the device. They are never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never sent to the AI providers the app uses to analyse meals.
If you switch on the optional sync feature, your weigh-ins, body-fat figure and any budget you raised from your movement are copied to the Measur server, into the account you registered, so your other devices see them. Nobody else can read that account's data. Switching the health import off in the app stops any further reading; you can also revoke the permission in the health app itself at any time.
Meals, photos, targets and settings live on the device (and, with sync on, in your own account on the server). Meal photos and descriptions are sent to the AI provider that analyses them, for that analysis only.
Deleting the app removes everything held on the device, and Settings can erase your logged data at any time. Switching the health import off, or revoking the permission in the health app, stops any further reading straight away.
